Comments:	I was the PSNCO for the Battalion and was on the USS Sultan during the trip to Vietnam. The Base camp as I recall was called "BearCat". We moved down to My Tho and build Dong Tam for the Riverne force. It is nice to read about the Old Reliable. As I recall the 84th Arty was a 155/8 inch battalion.I eventually retired in 1987 as Sergeant Major.

Comments:	At 11:00 on the 11th day of the 11th month, I visit the 15th US Engineers (First to England, WWI) memorial located in the Oakmont service plaza on the PA Turnpike. (Camp D.D. Galliard was located on that site.) I go every year to police the area, put up flags, and place a floral tribute. Last year the plaza was closed for construction, and I was afraid the memorial had been removed by the state. To my surprise, it is now located in a small garden in front of the main building. There were already flags, too, in VFW and American Legion holders. When I recovered from my shock, I placed the flowers I brought and add my flags. After more than eight decades, the young men who trained on the hilltop overlooking Oakmont, PA, before marching off to fight the War to End All Wars are not forgotten.

Comments:	To all Veterans, The standing up of the Battalion is going well. Equipment and Soldiers arrive almost every day. We had three gun crews that went out with the Infantry to qualify. A total of 23 gun crews qualified including our 3. Our Engineers placed 1st, 7th, and 8th. Once again the Engineers have outdone the Infantry at their own game. Still driving on. Is it possible for either or both of you to post updates about the 15th here so all of us can read them? I am the web master for this site. I was with the 15th in Vietnam '68-'69 - PLT LDR 1st Platoon, B Company; XO A Company; 9th DIV LNO to the 199th LIB. Let me know if I can be of any help. I do not remember anyone putting restrictions on their photos being use in other places/web pages, as long as they were given credit. I would have marked them as copyright materail.

The Battalion will be based here in Schweinfurt, Germany. The date is set for the middle of the year but can't post it on the internet. So here goes. (My oldest son, a United States Marine, calls me an SOB - Senile Old Bastard - guess he's correct). All the information you sent has been posted. I hope I presented it correctly. Let me know of any corrections that are needed. (The Go Devil lapel pin I have is from when I briefed Colonel Hemphill, CO 3rd Brigade regarding planned 9th ID combat activity).
