Outstanding Business From the 2003
Membership Meeting

The following items were voted on at the 2003 membership meeting, 30 August 2003, and remain open business.

1. The name of the Society of the 9th Infantry Division (SONID) will be changed. The complete new name was not voted on other than the new name will start with "9th Infantry Division ..." 

2. The Constitution and By-Laws were voted in (updates to be post on this web site by 9/14/03) with the following changes: The Board of Directors would be expanded by one member. The "Brigade" Board Member positions were changed from representatives for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Brigades to Board Members representing the 39th Infantry, 47th Infantry, 60th Infantry and the addition of a new Board Member position representing the 6/31st Infantry and all other Infantry units.

3. Any "open" Officer or Board Member positions will be filled by the President with the approval of the Board of Directors. Those Officer and Board Member positions will be temporary and will be voted on at the next reunion.

4. It was agreed that a reunion should be held during 2004 - but this was not finalized at the membership meeting. The location and time to be decided by late October 2003. Paul Kasper, Tom Newsham and your Webmaster were briefed by the Drawbridge Inn, Ft. Mitchell, KY military sales representative regarding costs for various times during 2004. This information will be posted here by 9/14/03. Input regarding other locations for holding a reunion during 2004 are to be solicited from the membership.
